چکیده

The prevalence of cognitive impairment is extremely high in dialysis patients, and it has been hypothesized that low urea clearance an impact on impairment. However, several other studies conducted the era high-flux have not shown association between lower Kt/V poorer function. Therefore, directly examine relationship adequacy function hemodialysis patients are essential. present study aimed to investigate functions their with adequacy.
Methods. This cross-sectional observational included 100 healthy volunteers. Dialysis was assessed by ratio previous month. Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test (MoCA), Clock Drawing (CDT) were used assess Multiple regression analysis determine significant assessments independent variables (Kt/V, age, education, hemoglobin, albumin).
Results. There no differences controls age sex. Patients had a mean 1.52±0.29. MMSE, MoCA, CDT than controls. strong positive correlations MMSE (r = 0.81), MoCA 0.84), 0.79).
Conclusion. significantly decreased compared associated adequacy. should be questioned

The relationship between hemoglobin level with PTH level and dialysis adequacy in chronic hemodialysis patients

Background: The role of high levels of parathyroid hormone in the development of anemia either directly or by mediating mechanisms is unclear, and there is a controversy about the pathophysiological role of parathyroid hormone (PTH) in the development and intensification of anemia associated with renal disease. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between anemia and parathy...

Relationship Between Serum Cystatin C and Creatinine or Dialysis Adequacy in Patients on Chronic Maintenance Hemodialysis

BACKGROUND Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is widely estimated by serum creatinine based equations such as Cockcroft-Gault (CG) standardized for body surface, and an abbreviated formula derived from MDRD (modification of diet in renal disease) study. However, some studies suggested that creatinine based estimation of GFR formula can be replaced by cystatin C based formula. OBJECTIVES The aim...
